Calendars Usually, we have calendars to remind us of the date, family birthdays, etc. Keep an extra calendar handy for use as a household journal. Write down children's milestones, keeping track of appliance replacements or major home repairs completed, child support payments received or paid, childrens' visitation dates with their other parent, etc. This record makes it easy to transfer the information at the end of the year to the children's baby books or to permanent household records.
